Story Studio: Explore Llanthony

Throw cannonballs, pick apples and relive 900 years of history with professional storyteller Michael Loader. Then, with imaginations alight, help us to design a new mascot. Illustrator Cam Law will be sharing tips and tricks on drawing and cartooning. All participants will have the opportunity to enter their work into our mascot competition. Family fun for ages 4-14. Free guided history walks of Llanthony Secunda Priory’s grounds. The Medieval Range and Brick Range are currently out of bounds due to ongoing construction work, but join a guided tour to hear more from Gloucester’s knowledgeable Civic Trust history guides – and find out how Llanthony Secunda Priory became more powerful and wealthy than its mother house – Llanthony Prima in the Vale of Ewas, Monmouthshire. An exclusive look behind the scenes of the Brick Range and Medieval Range as conservation work continues. Discover 900 years of history, and see heritage skills in action. High vis and hard hats provided, but you must be fit and able. Safety boots/shoes or sturdy leather walking boots must be worn. Tickets are available from Gloucester's Tourist Information Centre.
